Instagram Fake Followers Check

A rough check on public numbers: where likes, comments and views do not behave like a real account. The result is "looks organic", "some signs" or "many signs", with a list of what triggered.

Methodology

What counts as a sign of fake engagement

A sign only triggers when the number is off by several times. Strong signs are the ones real accounts almost never show.

ER several times below the norm: strong

ER by followers is under a third of the lower norm for the account size. The followers are there, but they do not react.

Videos are not watched: strong

The median video is seen by less than 1% of the follower count, on accounts with 10K+ followers.

No comments: strong

Fewer than one comment per thousand likes. Real posts usually have 5–50.

Likes to views: strong

More than 30% of viewers like the video, or fewer than 0.4% with substantial views (purchased views).

Flat numbers: indirect

The spread of likes between posts is under 12%. Real numbers jump by several times; bulk purchases look flat.

Mass following and bots: indirect

The account follows more people than follow it; over half of the recent comments are emoji, "cool" and repeats.

Grow your reach

More videos, no extra filming

Kutto cuts long videos into vertical clips: it finds the strongest moments, keeps the frame on whoever is speaking, adds captions, and publishes to TikTok, Reels, and Shorts on a schedule. Reach grows with the number of videos you post, and so does what sponsors will pay.

  • Dozens of clips from a single hour-long video
  • The frame follows whoever is speaking
  • Scheduled publishing to every platform

How can I tell if followers are fake?

Bought followers do not watch or react. That is why the main signs are ER several times below the norm for the size and videos seen by less than one percent of followers. A sharp jump in a day or two without a viral post is also a trace of a purchase, but it only shows in the follower history.

How can I tell if likes are fake?

Likes are cheap to buy; meaningful comments are not. Fewer than one comment per thousand likes, likes above a third of views, or suspiciously identical numbers across all posts are signs of purchased likes.

How accurate is the check?

It is not a verdict. The check only looks at the public numbers of the latest posts, while a viral post, a giveaway or a change of topic leave similar traces. The thresholds are deliberately wide, so only numbers that are off by several times trigger. Before buying advertising, ask the creator for screenshots of their reach statistics.

Can I check TikTok?

Only Instagram works from a link for now. For TikTok, open the "Manual" tab and enter followers and average likes, comments and views, and we will check the ratios. The spread across posts and comments are not visible in manual mode.

Why can’t the profile be checked?

A private profile is visible only to its followers, so there is nothing to count. Sometimes Instagram also fails to return the data in time; try again in a couple of minutes. Each address can check ten new profiles a day; profiles that were already checked reopen without a limit.
